Heavy plant movements and footpath closure

On behalf of:
The Pretyman-Waller Trustees, the East Suffolk Internal Drainage Board and the Waldringfield Flood Defence Group

This is to let you know that the following will be arriving on site down Sandy Lane from today until Monday (including the weekend):

Four 13 tonne 360 degree track machines
Two 8 tonne dumpers
One shipping container-sized workmen's accommodation unit.

These will access the site via School Road, then Cliff Road, then turn left down Sandy Lane, and turn right down the track just before Novocastria. Fishpond Road will be unaffected. (Now relocated to top of field next to footpath from Deben Lane to Sandy Lane.)

Major earth-moving to create the nature reserve and heighten the river wall will start next Monday 2nd March, and the riverwall footpath will be closed until early July.

All formal consents and health and safety are in place. We would urge you to take the utmost care. We will try to minimise disruption to the village as much as possible.

Please contact me if you have any queries.

Many thanks.
